No, Birmingham does not offer transportation. However, the school participates in Metro’s GoPass program, which covers the cost of public transportation on LA Metro Bus and Rail, and other local transit systems.

The GoPass Program provides currently enrolled Birmingham students with a free pass to use public transportation.

Visit the Student Store with your student ID. You’ll receive an Eligibility Code and Student TAP card. The code is used to register your card online.

No. Students must visit the Student Store in person to obtain their TAP card.

Yes. Download the TAP app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can register and use your TAP card on your phone. This option is highly recommended.

No. There are no registration fees, monthly charges, or replacement fees. GoPass TAP cards are valid 24/7 through 9/30/2026.

Registration takes just a few minutes. Activation may take up to one hour.

If you previously participated in the GoPass program before enrolling at Birmingham, select the “Renew or Replace Card” option when registering.

Yes. If unused for 14 consecutive days, Metro will deactivate your TAP card.
