Use Google Sites to:
- Keep a permanent/static class website where you can post documents, videos, links, information, calendars. Useful as an addition to Classroom because you can create more pages/options and students don't have to scroll through announcements to find information.
- Create a WebQuest - use multiple pages, one for each step of the process; makes it easy to link websites, docs, videos, etc, and guide students through the steps. Because it's a website, it remains the same and you can use the same URL for all classes every year.
- Have students create their own Sites to demonstrate their comprehension and learning - they can create galleries to display work, historical walk-through, online papers, etc
- ....there are many other uses for Sites.
Make sure you use the NEW Google Site editor - it's much more user friendly (especially if you've never built a website before)
